Frequently asked questions

Answers to common queries– to help you feel more confident before your first visit.

Do I need a referral to see you?

No – you don’t need a referral from your GP. You can book directly using our online system, or get in touch if you’d like to talk things through first.

Does it hurt?

Chiropractic adjustments are gentle and controlled. You may feel slight pressure or minor discomfort during treatment, but most people find the process comfortable and even relieving.

What should I wear to my appointment?

Just wear something you can move easily in. There’s no need for sportswear – any loose, comfortable clothing is fine.

How many sessions will I need?

This depends on your condition, goals, and how your body responds to care. We’ll give you a clear care plan after your initial assessment, so you know what to expect.

Is chiropractic safe?

Yes. Chiropractic care is very safe when provided by a trained and registered practitioner. If we feel chiropractic isn’t the right fit for you, we’ll always let you know and suggest another option.

Can children or babies see a chiropractor?

Yes – we offer very gentle care for babies and children. Treatment is tailored to their age and development, and we’re happy to explain everything in detail before you begin.

How long is an appointment?

Your first visit takes about 45 minutes. Regular adjustments are shorter – around 15 minutes, depending on your needs.

What happens at the first visit?

We take a full health history, complete spinal and movement assessments, and carry out a posture scan. If care is appropriate, you’ll usually receive your first adjustment at this session.

Can I bring my baby or child?

Yes – we provide care for all ages. Treatment for babies and children is extremely gentle and always explained clearly to parents before we begin.

Can I still come if I’m pregnant?

Yes – chiropractic care can be very supportive during pregnancy. It can help with posture, discomfort, and pelvic alignment. We tailor all care to suit your stage of pregnancy.

Do you work with older adults?

Yes – many of our patients are in their 60s and beyond. We adjust techniques to suit your comfort, mobility, and health needs.

Do you offer free consultations?

Yes – we offer a free discovery session if you’d like to find out more before booking a full consultation. You can do this in person, over the phone, or on Zoom.
